As mentioned on the front page poor John Witcher has sustained a serious injury while - of all things - moving his caravan. He's mending well - apart from breaking a wrist in an unrelated incident - and will be joining us again in the new year for  Clwb Twmpath events, but in the short term we were tremendously relieved that he's recovering from his injury.

We were also relieved that we could secure the services of a similar calibre of caller to John as a short notice replacement. Martin Hallett generously stepped into the breach and saved our bacon.

A little about Martin - he's a very experienced - ran his own band for a good while - has a background in Morris Dancing too, and is a humorous and witty caller with a huge repertoire of dances from fun to complex. And a commensurately huge voice - he's a champion town crier, and often calls from the floor without a microphone. You have been warned!

What's a Ceilidh Club event like? Well, there is a bar, and a stall selling mouth watering home made cakes to keep up energy levels during the evening, convivial company, keen dancers and an experienced caller. Aderyn Prin  provide all the music you need to make you light on your feet, so all you have to do is get those dancing shoes out, dust off the glad rags and come along and join in for a fun evening of organised mayhem!
