Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. We had some really lovely gigs over the holiday period, including a ceilidh on New Year’s Eve - the last evening of a four day wedding celebration - the highlight of which was two sisters dancing the Tango, complete with the famous John Sergeant finish from Strictly Come Dancing! We were laughing so much it was very difficult to keep playing.

New Year’s Day saw us all at a local café – the Caban in Brynrefail – for what has become a regular New Year’s Day session with other bands and musicians. It was a lovely atmosphere and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The local Morris side were there too, providing lots of colour and dancing outside with the snow falling! The Caban provided us all with lovely hot soup and coffee – a brilliant start to 2010.

Don’t forget if you happen to be in the area we are doing a charity ceilidh on the 16th January in the Railway Institute in Bangor to raise money for the Botanic Gardens at Treborth, just outside Bangor on the edge of the Menai Straits. Everyone is welcome – the more the merrier. Start time 7.30pm – bring your dancing shoes! See you there!
